The Roosevelt men’s soccer team and Judson sloshed through a driving rain storm for 90 minutes on Wednesday afternoon with the visiting Eagles overcoming the elements to post a 4-0 victory over the Lakers at Toyota Park.

Judson (7-5-3, 4-2-2) scratched the scoreboard for three goals in the first half. Santiago Munoz opened the scoring, heading home a cross from Noah Price in the 24th minute. Micah Price and Gustavo Scorzelli would add tallies in the 38th and 39th minute, respectively, to add to the Eagles’ lead.

Roosevelt (2-10-3, 1-7-0) would step up its intensity in the final 45 minutes, but Judson still managed to net its fourth goal of the match in the 55th minute. The Lakers best scoring chance came later in the period when freshman Lane Mita’s strike from the top of the box was deflected away by diving Judson keeper Neil Thompson.

Roosevelt will play its final home match of the 2012 season on Saturday when it hosts Saint Xavier at Toyota Park at 11:30 a.m.
