Samples of Wafer Thins Samples of EarthSweet vitamins, and other eco-friendly brands, were given out at the Whole Foods day Whole Foods distributors offered sweet treats during the April 22 event. South of France soaps products at the April 22 event. The Whole Foods event took place in conjunction with the Earth Day activities on the campus. Swirlz cupcakes at the April 22 event. Eco-friendly products like creams, lotions and other cosmetic items were featured at the event. Attendees were given free bags to collect their free samples and products.

The ground breaking event for Roosevelt's new building was April 17. RU Provost James Gandre speaks at the ground breaking event. The ceremony included music by Roosevelt students. Mayor Daley and RU President Charles Middleton were among those to break ground. The new 32-story skyscraper (located at Wabash and Congress) should be completed by January 2012. RU students got to check out many different products at the Fair Trade Bazaar on Dec. 3. SPEED and CSI hosted the Winter Wonderland celebration on Dec. 2. RU students and guests got a visit from Santa Claus during the Winter Wonderland celebration. RU students Mike McCan and Cindy Loohoo made Christmas ornaments at Winter Wonderland. Summer 2009 In Review

Venetian Night Fireworks Stella Doane’s garden was part of the exhibit gardens in the Fifth Garden Walk Exhibit. Chicago’s Lollapalooza took place on Aug. 7-9 at Grant Park. The Crown Fountain in Millennium Park Riders prepare for the Chicago Criterium, a series of cycling races. Chicago Criterium, a series of cycling races, took place on July 26 at Grant Park.
