'Up in the Air' was named Best Film by the National Board of Review

In the coming weeks guilds and organizations will start to name their best films of the year. It's a good way to know what will win for Oscars in March. The National Board of Review is the first big organization that names of their list. Although some of the films will not be seen again this season (maybe Star Trek and (500) Days of Summer) it's a good way to gauge other lists. Since the Academy Awards has widened their best picture nominees from 5 to 10 this will help everyone. Last year 'Slumdog Millionaire' won and in 2007 'No Country for Old Men' was named film of the year (both went on to win the Best Picture Oscar). So without further adu the winners. Hope this helps with your Oscar pool.
